Amedeo A. Raschieri is a Research Fellow in Latin Language and Literature at the University of Milan. His main interests include ancient rhetoric (especially Cicero and Quintilian), late antique declamations and progymnasmata (particularly Ennodius), and Greek and Roman geographical poetry. His research has also focused on the rediscovery of Greek and Latin classics during the humanistic and Renaissance periods, especially in the context of Milan and Venice. He is the author of three volumes: an annotated translation of the geographical work of Dionysius Periegetes (Alessandria, 2004), the critical edition of Avienus’ Orbis terrae (Acireale-Rome, 2010), and a monograph on Quintilian and Latin rhetoric (Canterano, 2021).
